Farm Friends 2011 and a Plea

This year, Jim Pickett and Mark Eaton brought observation hives and other things to teach kids about bees and beekeeping.

Thanks to Jim and Mark, a whole bunch of kids and adults learned about importance of protecting the bees.

If anyone is interested in teaching school kids about bees, we are always getting requests from schools to come give presentations. The club has a few observation hives you can put your bees into as well as large scale images of bees that can be borrowed to bring for teaching aids. Please let us know if you're interested in doing something like this. It's fun and gratifying.
