NWABA Beekeeping Scholarship

Currently the NWABA offers a beekeeping apprenticeship. See the Apprenticeship Program for details. If you are a business, group or individual, which would like to undertake a sponsorship of out Apprenticeship Program, please let us know.  We would like to work with you.

Young Beekeeping Program

We know about the Young Beekeeper Program of the The Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees where they offer assistance to states associations for young beekeeper scholarship.  We do not believe that the Arkansas State Beekeeping organization has setup such a program.

4-H Essay Contest

The Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees 4-H Beekeeping Essay Contest is a scholarship opportunity for 4-H members who enjoy bees and beekeeping. It involves preparing an essay on a bee or beekeeping related topic for the contest year. You must research the topic and write an essay of between 750 and 1000 words to be eligible for this award.The completed essay is submitted in compliance with the current rules and winners are then selected from the entries submitted. No essay received after March 1 will be considered. Three awards  $250, $500 and $750 are given.

If you are an active 4-H member, our club could be an excellent resource for researching bees and beekeeping. You may even find yourself working with one of our experienced beekeepers as a mentor to gain additional knowledge for your 4-H essay project.
